Dubai Customs Authority has issued Customs Notice No. (04/2023) with the aim of simplifying procedures and providing enough time for clients to submit the relevant documents.
Key highlights of the Notice:

- Customs declaration & documents must be submitted within a maximum of 30 days after completion of declaration.
- ●
- Fees of AED 5 will be charged each day after the grace period mentioned above and up to a maximum of AED 300.
- ●
- Customs Declarations cleared but not submitted from the period 29/03/2020 to 26/09/2022 must be submitted within 90 days from the date this notice comes into force.

Few custom cases who meet the following conditions shall be excluded from submitting Customs Declaration:

- Transit-declarations.
- >
- Declarations cleared by companies having approved e-archiving system.
- >
- Direct Imports & Exports by entities who are exempt from GCC common custom laws.

- Imports & Exports declarations in personal name.

- Customs Declarations & documents expected to be submitted must be archived for a period of 5 years from completion of declaration as Federal Tax Authority may request these documents during this period or during customs clearance process.
